Guest guest
Hey Pat, That's a good idea! I saw one of the rooms and they do have a nice recliner in there too! They offered my friend's husband a bed they could bring in but he was worried about them mistaking who the patient was...LOL! I told my dh last night...aren't you worried about them sticking you with something if you are laying in bed with me? His comment was he'd be dressed...LOL! Dang men! I really can't see us in a small hospital bed either...LOL! One bump into me where they've done the surgery and he'd be on his butt quick! Have a great weekend! Hugs, in AL. Guest guest
Your not going to believe this Pat but I can't find any anywhere around me. I was shocked! There is a Super Walmart about 20 mins away and I am going to check there. My husbands a diabetic and we buy the big things of sugar free ice cream but I wanted the pops. Have to put the ice chest in the car if I go further to find them and then... buy them all up! Guest guest
I guess you could make your own with Crystal Light. At this point ice cream would be too heavy for your new tummy. I had refried beans last night and I chewed and chewed and promtly vomited it, a first for me. Guest guest
Pat, I've always added butter to my refried beans since lard is so bad for us. Something I always enjoyed from my South TX. roots. Have you tried this? Its creamier and I think easier for even babies to eat. Sorry you had a bad time of it! We found sf ice pops at Walmart last night and went by the one closer to us showed them what we wanted and they will order them. Said they do this if someone just ask...so I did! Guest guest
Hey Pat, How are you doing? Hope great!! Wonder what that painful twinge is cause I didn't have it until recently about the 6th day out of surgery. I still walk daily with Buddy, my dog and he is such a great...puller...LOL!!! I do take him out without the leash when the little one's across the way are gone so he can run and chase leaves...our latest. I have always been cold natured and thought after surgery it would change but it hasn't at all. Here you want off soft foods and I am begging to get on them...LOL! I am going to call this AM to see if my Surgeon's office is going to be open since our storm is to stay in effect through the weekend. I haven't noticed food as much before as I do now...I look here and there in the stores and just drool for it...good stuff not bad stuff...LOL!!! I know my day's coming and I can proceed to the " good " stuff again. I've even been looking at veggies also...fresh, crisp...aaahhhh!!! I have to admit, I've been doing some No NO when it come's to lifting but its minimal and necessary. Nothing more over the Gal. of milk I was told except for a few times and I used my lower body to assist with it. I had no choice but my dear Don did most of the stuff last evening and we are prepared for Ivan. Unfortunately his job told him this AM he had to go on into work so I am alone with my dog and kitties. Worse is suppose to hit from 12noon till 3 am tomorrow AM. Well I've turned this into a chapter to a book so I'll cut out now and chat with ya later. Hugs, in AL.
