Strangely enough during my recovery I have spent more time reading

than watching movies, oh and of course I was glued to this message

board much of the time. I did go out to the movies twice though which

is the most I've been to the cinema in the last 2 years.

Books I recommend:

Brick Lane (set in present day London talks about the trials and

tribulations of being an immigrant from Bangladesh and growing up in a

post 9/11 world)

The Big Love (an original version of what it's like dating and finding

THE ONE in today's world)

The Dark Queen (set in Renaissance France during de Medici's

time, features bad witches, wise women, witchunters and many potions)

Fawlty Towers is one of my favourite series, along with A Year in

Provence.

Liked the Harry Potter books too (and the movies), although I never

finished them until recently. Now I'm anxious for the new release!

Oooooh Fawlty Towers and a Year in Provence are also part of my

compilation of favourites:-) And I can't believe we have to wait

until November to see the latest Harry Potter movie. I'm also really

excited about the new movie based on Nambia's The Lion, The Witch

and The Wardrobe. It used to be one of my favourites as a child. One

of my dear friends bought me the book on CD to listen to during my

recovery post-op. One of the best presents ever.

Who wrote The Dark Queen?

Thanks,
