However, when I tasted it, it tasted horrible! It actually had a chemical taste to it. When I sampled some from the inside, it tasted a little better; more of a cottage cheese taste. Can anyone comment to this as being normal or not? Do I have a bad package or something? I'm very anxious to make some cheese cake for my son but don't want to waste ingrediants if it is going to taste anything like this cheese does! Check the sell by date on it. DCCC freezes very well -- I order it by the case, and then toss the whole case in the freezer, taking it out a bar at a time, as I need it. DCCC doesn't taste like the creamed cottage cheese we are accustomed to pre-SCD, but the taste grows on you. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
