hello,

My 3 yr daughter with UC, started SCDiet about 2 months now. Showed improvement

in 3 weeks, formed stool, for about 3weeks. After that darrihea started, very

watery for for 3 weeks. right now most of her stool is loose (not so watery)but

once a while it gets watery. There will be blood in most of them has stool.

I give her boulardi (300 billion per day)

Sc dophilius (450 billion per day).

Can I give her yogurt ??? Any suggestions on this.

Please if any one can advice.

Greatly appreciate

Thanks

Rani.

Sure, but I would take the advice from pecanbread.com and start slowly:

" What dose should I give?

For a child who is very sensitive to dairy, you should start out with less than a

1/8 of a teaspoon. There is a huge difference between a 1/8 of a teaspoon and a

1/4 of a teaspoon. Some children will not tolerate 1/4 of a teaspoon but will do

fine with a 1/8 of a teaspoon. Try to remember that the yogurt is a powerful

medication and should be introduced very gradually. Some children will not

tolerate any amount. For those children it might be better to wait a few more

months. "
