Guest guest
Rose, I am getting over a case of bronchitis and earaches. Plus the meds made me sick and made my gums swell up. The last three weeks have been me in bed coughing and sweating and getting dizzy from meds to stop the wheezing, etc. What a fun summer...Not! I do agree about the AC. What did we ever do before?! hugs to all S. Life may not always be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we might as well dance! Subject: Check in time! To: neurosarcoidosis Date: Wednesday, July 21, 2010, 11:58 PM Boy, y'all have been quiet! I don't know if it's the heat, health or holidays. I hope it's because most of you have been feeling pretty good & are busy enjoying life. Just try to take a few minutes to check in & let us know how you are doing--good, bad or ugly. I'm just trying to cope with the heat. Even with the a.c. on, I'm using lots of fans, bowls of ice water & bandanas to tie around my head, swimming when I get a chance & have the energy. But I'm grateful that I have a.c., water, ice & electricity! Ramblin' RoseModerator A merry heart is good medicine. Proverbs 17:22 The New Busy is not the old busy. Guest guest
, sounds like another case of the "cure" being as bad or worse than the illness. We so often have to decide between Door A & Door B, knowing there's a crappy prize behind both! I hope you are starting to feel better. This may not apply to your situation, but about twice a year, after a cold that has started to resolve, I'll get a bad wheezy cough that just doesn't quit. The first time my local PCP ordered a chest x-ray, which was read as pneumonia. I told the nurse, "I don't have pneumonia; my xray always looks funky," but went ahead & took antibiotics anyway. No improvement, so called the lung guy at the sarc clinic in Indy & he said I needed a short course of Pred. He said if I have a cold that seems to be clearing up, then I start the coughing, it is reactive airway disease (asthma), skip the chest xray & take the Pred. Within 2 days the cough was almost gone. Since then it's happened 4-5 times, I take the 5-day Pred course (lower dose each day) & it clears up. The short course doesn't cause me any problems. Guest guest
Hi Rose and all, I have been checking the emails and etc each day, but I have been very sick and, of course, everything happens when you are sick! I have been on anti-biotics and it seems like all I want to do is sleep! This is coming from a person that normally only sleeps about four hours each night. I hardly have the energy to get dressed in the morning. I have been having computer problems; have 2 daughters going through marriage problems and both will probably get a divorce. With all of this, I have just not been able to cope and answer questions...... I apologize to each and everyone of you and will be here full time just as soon as I can. I do check the emails several times a day.......... Hugs,DarleneNS Co-Owner/Moderator
Guest guest
Darlene, I'm sorry you are going through such a rough stretch. Don't worry about the group; I'll be all alone for the next week (except the dogs & cats!), so will have time to take care of things. Just take care of yourself & support your family, okay?
