Guest guest
Thank you Steve, these seem like excellent recommendations. It's too bad I live on the east coast, I would love to get comprehensive bacteria and yeast tests at the IBS Treatment center.EllenTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Sun, July 11, 2010 4:25:36 PMSubject: Re: IBS Specialist Hi Ellen I don't have any experience of the specialist you named but if I were in the US (I am in the UK) I would definitely go to see Dr Wangen at the IBS Treatment Center and/or Dr M Pimentel at Cedars Mt Sinai. Good luck. Steve > > Hi, > > I just got this recommendation for a GI specialist in NYC, they take a more holistic approach to treating IBS. Guest guest
Eileen,Thanks, yet another reason why I need a new doctor! I think the only bacterial test I got was the SIBO hydrogen breath test. Oh I also got a parasite test, both of which were negative. What does the test show? Does it have details of the amount of beneficial and bad gut flora? To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Sun, July 11, 2010 6:22:31 PMSubject: Re: IBS Specialist ellen- i live in ny and my doc orders yeast and stool cultures thru my covered ins lab - just ask doc for a lab slip -i use quest eileen 2 1/2 years scd > > > > Hi, > > > > I just got this recommendation for a GI specialist in NYC, they take a more > >holistic approach to treating IBS.
