Guest guest
You have to donate your own blood in case you lose a lot of blood during surgery and need a transfusion. This is called a special donation requested by your doctor. When you donate your own blood, you eliminate the risk of acquiring infectious diseases that may be transmitted by blood tranfusion. If your blood is not used, they will discard it and it can not go to a blood bank due to hospital requirements. It took me about 10 minutes to donate 1 pint but I had to stay afterwards and drink juice and eat some snacks so I wouldn't be as dizzy or lightheaded. > Why do we have to donate blood? Guest guest
Kay, That sounds like a great plan to enjoy food every night with friends! My coworkers keep laughing at me every day because just all I talk about is what I am going to eat at the next meal. Thank God these hooks are keeping me from eating as much as I would like because I would be as big as a house by now. They would need a crane to lift me up on the operating table..(haha) I have been fortunate enough to have lost 10 lbs. since May 12th when these hooks were put on. Maybe if I keep it up I will finally fit in those size 7 jeans! WAHOOOO!!! Anyway, I will chat with you later! Have a Great Evening! > > Checking in on my buddies to see how ya'lls preparation is going for > > surgery. I can't believe our big day is getting so close!
