Hello all...new poster here...I've had braces on for 3 years now and

apparently my lower jaw surgery is scheduled for September. I have a

bunch of questions as I have barely talked to anyone about this. How

long is recovery?....what are these elastics everyone is talking

about?...Will I look that different? Just to give some

background...my jaw is too long and my lower jaw is not exactly lined

up so they are apparently...slicing it and bringing it back held in

with titanium screws??? ANy insight would be great. Thanks again. Irene
