Guest guest
Hi all, On Day 14 (today) I got my elastics removed! WOOHOO! I feel so much freer and happier. I am able to use a spoon now, and I am also able to brush the interiors of my lower teeth with toothpaste! (Wasn't allowed to use toothpaste until today) The jaw is sore, and I have to do opening and closing exercises that are painful and difficult, but I am getting there. Only 27 days until I get the splint off! But the bad news is that I now have 2 grey teeth. What does this mean? I am afraid that these teeth are dying, and that there isn't much I can do. Has anybody else dealt with this? I see my surgeon again on Monday, but I am afraid that after all of this, I won't be happy with my spile because of the two grey teeth. Guest guest
Jayar, that's fantastic news and I am so jealous! I get to keep these super tight elastic bands on for another 4 days only to get them changed to less tight ones for who knows how long. Patience, I know! How does your mouth feel without the added support of the elastics? Gray tooth? How were you able to see the teeth underneath the splint? Perhaps it just looks discolored after all the mouthwash. I think the best person to ascertain whether there is something physically wrong with it would be either your dentist or orthodontist. Enjoy your elastic free mouth! Guest guest
Thanks! It feels great, but it is a little scary. I am overprotective of the jaw now. I can't wait to get the splint off, but good things come to those who wait, right? > > Hi all, > > > > On Day 14 (today) I got my elastics removed! WOOHOO! I feel so > much > > freer and happier. Guest guest
Jayar If you used a prescription mouthwash, the grey color can be from that. I have some staining on my teeth that I have been told can be removed by your dentist. > Hi all, > > On Day 14 (today) I got my elastics removed! WOOHOO! I feel so much > freer and happier.
