Guest guest
Sorry to disappoint you, but there is no food plan. I am totally not into what others do as far as watching labs, counting protein, what kind of calcium to take, etc. It may work for them, but it is too microscopic for me. I get compulsive and end up going the other way. Not to digress, but it's interesting to me that you brought this up. I went to a wls support group meeting in San Fran today, and I was kind of appalled..no I was really turned off, by the number of people who were trying to " cheat " their way into fitness. Non-fat cheescake, who has the best frozen dessert, low cal lasagna, sugar free candy, pork rinds, fat free chips etc. You know what, if that's what you want and you can do it, more power to you. I personally do not want to recreate my fat lifestyle on a low cal basis. I want to re-engineer my habits for the long run. The most important part of my " plan " ( of which I have none) is that I get up really early, walk the dogs and do a work out. I hate it. I hate waking up at 5 a.m. , rolling myself out of bed and doing something physical. But, the first thing is, it makes me go to bed at 9 or 10,, thereby missing my usual munchy hours. As much as I HATE getting up early, I have never been at the end of it and said " I wish I wouldn't have done that " . I have discovered the beauty of the early morning, and made friends with those hardy souls who are out there doing the same assinine thing I am doing. The best thing about torturing yourself like this, is that there is no way on God's green earth that you are going to stick an Oreo in your mouth after you have suffered so much to burn a hundred or two calories. Combine that with whole foods ( no microwave crap full of salt and no chewy, bulky satisfying goodness) and you are on the path. I have a great deal of respect for my body. It's almost like we are two separate entities. We are at " war " or you might call it a stand- off right now. " It " doesn't want to lose weight right now and has dug in its' heals. I, on the other hand, am going to make it cry uncle. I will be patient. I will continue to execise and eat right, and sooner or later I will prevail. Patience. Smiles, Vicki > thats great 3 years out and still losing!!! Good for you. What kind of food > plan are you following? Can you share any tips. i am 2 1/2 years out and at > a stand still.
