Stitches and going out post-surgery

How soon after surgery did people's stitches start to fall out? Or

alternatively, how soon after surgery did your surgeon take the

stitches out and, did it hurt? Last question, what's the earliest

people ventured out of their home after surgery? I'm starting to go

cuckoo from being cooped up in the house now on day 5 post-op but am

still a little unsure about how confident I feel about showing my face

in public. My fiancee and parents keep on telling me I look fine but I

think I look weird. Not that any one will be looking at me but still,

you know what I mean.
