Nervous....ooohhh don't be! I know it's hard but just think, finally

we will get all this waiting in anxiety over with and we can start

the path of recovery. I've gotten to the point where I just want to

get the darn operation over with. I'm tired of thinking at each meal

that this will be the last time for a long time that I will be able

to eat salad, meat, fish etc in a non-mushed liquid format. And I'm

tired of wondering what the day of surgery will be like, what will I

feel like after. Enough already! Let's just do it! It's enough to

drive me nuts! Nerve-wise thankfully I'm quite relaxed...for now.

We'll see how I feel tomorrow night or the morning of surgery on

Monday. I think the fact that I've already had two surgeries under

general anethesia helps because I remember that before my first

surgery I was nervous like hell. Now I know that I don't have that

much to worry about, just need to make sure I'm rested and relaxed.

Something my doctor recommended I do was have a 'light' meal the

night before my surgery. He said that the day to go all out on food

was two nights before surgery and not the night before. I'm going to

follow his advice to make sure I don't have anything to vomit up

during surgery! Yuck.

Good luck and hold on tight. Almost there!! Just think, at this time

next week we can compare recovery notes rather than nervous pre-op

notes:-)
