Guest guest
What does a strangulated hernia feel like? I am getting worried. I was doing fine on my recovery from my hysterectomy. Last week I went to the doc's (gyn) office and came home feeling " sore " . I called the next day and they told me it was from climbing the steps to their office. First time I had taken steps since surgery on Sept 16. I have two flights of steps to climb at work and return to work on Nov. 10 so I figured I had better get myself back in shape and have made it a point to climb to my neighbor's upstairs apartment every day since, once a day. Each day I feel a little worse. It feels like muscle soreness. but now I am not sure. I do have a hernia from my WLS and my WLS doc told me to come back later for that to be repaired. I don't have " pain " I have soreness. And if I take a pain pill (Loricet) it doesn't help a bit. I feel like I am two weeks post op not 6 weeks post op. Yesterday I pressed on the hernia spot and noticed that it hurts when I press on it. Again not pain ... but soreness. Now I don't know if this could be the hernia acting up or just muscles. It just seems odd to me that after five days of taking the steps I am getting more sore each day instead of getting used to them. It doesn't hurt when I climb the steps per se. It hurts when I walk, when I try to bear down if I have difficulty moving my bowels, getting out of bed. Again SORENESS as opposed to pain. I always assumed if it was the hernia it would be pain. Just need some heads up on this from those who have been through hernia pain. Will talk to GYN office tomorrow. from NJ The smallest feline is a masterpiece. - Leonardo Da Vinci --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
