Wow, , when someone says that this surgery is " the easy way

out " , I think we should refer them to you. Congrats on a healthy son

and I hope all your problems are behind you now.

My name is Kricket and I had my surgery on 11-13-02 (90cm proximal

RNY). My start weight was 298 and I am now 140 (5'8 " ). My surgeon

was Dr. Patchen Dellinger in Seattle, WA.

This has been an amazing year for me. I am so grateful to have a

second chance at life. I had many comorbs, but thankfully they are

all resolved now.

I am 35, married and have 4 kids (two of whom have mild autism). I

am so thankful that I can be active with them now. Prior to my

surgery I was just " existing " both physically and emotionally, now I

am an active participant in my life.

I also post on the protein list and GBIC so some of you may already

know me. :-) Plus I have had the good fortune of meeting some of the

members on this list already.

Anyway, life is good and I am glad I am finally legal to post after

so many months of lurking here. :-)

For a minute I was confused. I was thinking, " we already know you,

Kricket " Then I realized it was from the other boards. You have

such good info to share I already think of you as a veteran.

Welcome to the grad list & congratulations on a job well done.

Aw, thanks Diane! LOL I have a lot of time on my hands now since all

my kids are in school, so I like to whip up recipes and such...keeps

me busy cause the house is so quiet.

To everyone else that welcomed me, thank you for the warm welcome and

I look forward to being an active participant here.

Well, you could always drop be here for about 8 hrs a day. We could make a

really quick end to being bored.

Yep, the staff would LOVE to have a captive cook. LOLOL!
