Guest guest
I guess it would depend on HOW you mix your shake as to whether or not it's safe to use hot tap water. I shake mine up in a Tupperware shaker. I tried the hot water one time, and when I went to shake it up, it exploded the top off the Tupperware. God! What a mess! Choc shake all over my kitchen and me too. Happened once in the car as well. I'd had the Tupperware with the water already measured into it when I left home and left sitting on the car seat when I went in to the store. It was a hot day and the water in the shaker got pretty warm. Added my shake mix and put the lid on tight (AND I always keep my finger on top of the pour-hole cover just in case) and shook it up......................do you have ANY idea how long it takes to clean choc shake out of all those little a/c grates and radio speaker holes, etc? NEVER again will I try hot water, I can promise you. Carol A In a message dated 9/20/2003 3:20:28 PM Central Daylight Time, shihtzumom@... writes: > Just make sure the liquid isn't boiling. Guest guest
Basically, you were told right. Really hot water(as in recently boiled) denatures the protein molecules (bends them out of shape). Warm water may be OK. --Steve At 2:40 AM +0000 9/22/03, lilnain39 wrote: >I need to ask a question. Guest guest
Thanks Steve and Tigger, I still manage to learn something new every day! Life's a classroom!
