Guest guest
It is practically impossible to find processed foods without gluten. I thought Bob from Bob’s Red Mill was my friend. (I’m kidding) But then, I found out about the 20 parts per million in all of his products. I cannot understand how the government can allow a “gluten low” product be called gluten free. I am cooking everything from scratch now. We eat whole foods almost exclusively. I need to get my kids on a gluten free diet but it's pretty impossible in America. There is just too much food everywhere with gluten in it. Guest guest
Hi Alyssa, I am glad you got this over with and before school too. I'm impressed that your doc is looking into LDN. I hope all will be well for you and that you have a better year- health wise- in school. PJ > > So, I had my colonoscopy today. It went off very easily, no passing > out from the IV or anything. Guest guest
Alyssa, I am so glad you were able to go ahead and have the colonoscopy and get rid of it. That's great news that is wasn't so bad. I'm like you, they have a terrible time finding veins to get blood - often lots of bruises. But I always insist they use my forearm for the IV! Of course I'm sorry to hear you do still have inflammation and some blood and pus, but definitely good news that the upper gut is clear. And good you don't have Crohn's. And, obviously your liver enzymes are OK again, too! And it sounds like good news if the doctor is willing to research LDN! IBS So, I had my colonoscopy today. It went off very easily, no passing out from the IV or anything. They actually put it in my hand, which was great!! I wish all IVs were in the hand! Anyways, we got the pictures and the doctor talked to my parents, but we're waiting for the biopsy and blood results (they took blood while I was out and apparently had a REALLY REALLY hard time getting a vein...). Anyways, the report said I was slightly inflamed everywhere, but mostly on my right side (ascending colon) where there was blood and pus. I definitely still have UC and not Crohn's though; my upper endoscopy was all clear =) My doctor is waiting on the other results to make any decisions, but she said she would do more research on LDN. Cheers! Alyssa 16 yo
