Guest guest
, Another 7 weeks is a mere drop in the bucket! And I really, really, really mean that 'cause that's how much longer I have to be wired shut! So, as far as I'm concerned, that time is just going to FLY BY!! Guest guest
, I can't offer any words of wisdom regarding your molar situation, but I did want to pop in and wish you the best of luck as you move forward! It sounds like you have all your ducks in a row. I hope everything goes well for you! And absolutely, have a cake the week before your birthday. Heck, have two!!! All the best, Carol > > > > Just checking in on how all my June surgery buddies are > doing. Guest guest
Carol, Yes, I have heard of putting the hooks on during surgery. I also know that if your hooks break during surgery your OS will put on new one's during the surgery. It's amazing how all these OS have their own way on how they do this surgery. The reason my OS wanted the hooks 6 weeks before surgery was because for whatever reason he said he wanted to give the teeth time to settle with the hooks and surgical wires before he performed the surgery. One postive thing I do see about getting the hooks so early is that I am now so used to them I don't even notice they are there. I have noticed just a very slight movement since the hooks and wires have been on. So I guess I can see why he wanted them on so early instead of having them shift after surgery. He said once they settle he will do the final measurements and molds for the surgery. Anyway, enjoy your weekend & hope this answers your question! > > > > > Dale, > > > > > > > > > > My cajun buddy!! Hi, glad to hear all is well for you down > in > > > > cajun > > > > > country. Guest guest
hehehe...run a marathon! you almost made me laugh. i have to tell (and sara) that i did a half-laugh today. joey tripped on his flip flop and almost fell on his head. it didn't hurt my jaw - but some part of my cheek stuck to a wire. so painful - but worth it ) -becky > > glad to hear today went better! and he should be carrying your > > laundry...i think there was a no heavy lifting clause i signed > > somewhere ) > > > > thanks for your thanks...to be able to reach out to other people right > > now somehow really makes me feel better. and i'm all sappy and > > whatnot...damn medication ) > > > > have a wonderful night... > > > > -becky
Guest guest
Sara, Sorry if I was confusing. I am supposed to be unwired and have my splint removed on the 29th and then two weeks later have my Skeletal Wires removed with the gas/topical/local. So, are you leaving on the 29th for good or will you be back? I remember day 5 like it was yesterday and like it was a million years ago. Funny how the memory works. I'm just glad it's not day 5 anymore!!! Congrats to your friend, by the way. Carol > Just wanted to drop you a few lines in response to your post about > your visit with Dr. . Guest guest
Carol, That is good to know especially with these allergies of mine my temp always seem to run around 99 to 99.5. I could already hear me trying to explain in the OR that I am never normal and always have temps above 99...(haha) Yes, I am so close and your big day is almost here! Guest guest
Shirley, I'm so glad if they helped. Congrats on teh shower and hair washing! I remember how wonderful that first shower felt. Just don't make it too long and, if possible, have someone within earshot ... better safe than sorry. Have a great day! Good luck with your appointment.
