dental problems

Thanks for the recent input regarding chewing gum as helping to prevent further

dental problems. I never made the association between my more recent dental

problems and weight loss surgery. It all makes sense to me. If I am waiting

until 30 minutes after eating to drink water that is giving the bacteria more

time to build up in my mouth. I am sure that most of us who work can't be

running to brush our teeth all the time either.

My problem since surgery has been that my gums are receding even more. I had a

problem before surgery but it is getting worse. I had assumed that it was due to

my just getting older. But maybe it does have something to do with the

combination of not drinking with meals and not absorbing the nutrition from

foods.
