Guest guest
Thanks for the recent input regarding chewing gum as helping to prevent further dental problems. I never made the association between my more recent dental problems and weight loss surgery. It all makes sense to me. If I am waiting until 30 minutes after eating to drink water that is giving the bacteria more time to build up in my mouth. I am sure that most of us who work can't be running to brush our teeth all the time either. My problem since surgery has been that my gums are receding even more. I had a problem before surgery but it is getting worse. I had assumed that it was due to my just getting older. But maybe it does have something to do with the combination of not drinking with meals and not absorbing the nutrition from foods.
