Guest guest
I had a similar problem, I used to have a cup of coffee in the morning, and haven't since surgery--I started having hot herbal tea, and it usually does the trick. It sure beats milk of magnesia. Anyone ever use Liquid Sorbitol as a laxative I have chronic constipation and my PCP a few years ago suggested I use 2 tablespoons of sorbitol once a day. I used to use a lot of fiber - flax seed mostly - but now I cannot eat fiber I am only 4 weeks out of surgery and I am getting pretty miserable. Has anyone ever tried this or had this suggested to them? anne
Guest guest
Tried hot teas, herbal and lipton - nothing. So it is the hot and caffeine in coffee. I would hold my nose and give it a try if I knew what was in it that made it work. anne > I had a similar problem, I used to have a cup of coffee in the morning, and haven't since surgery--I started having hot herbal tea, and it usually does the trick. Guest guest
Thanks, the active ingredient is Senna leaves. That makes sense, have you used right after your surgery? I have dieters tea also, but have been pretty leary so soon after surgery. Thanks again, anne > & gt; & gt; I have used, with wonderful success, Jen-mi Bao Slim > tea...Dieters > & gt; & gt; delight..A specia,l Chinese Pure Herbal Tea 100% natural...No > & gt;Caffeine. Guest guest
Thanks for your suggestion. I had a box of Dieter's tea in the back of my cupboard that I take when I travel and had forgotten about it. I use to eat a lot of fiber, any way had a cup yesterday afternoon and today am a brand new woman and much happier. anne > > after surgery I was even worse..I was out of surgery about 3 weeks I needed > something, cause I was going to KILL some one.In the beginning it is a > little " tuff " on your " body " . be careful,....I say, it beats the hell out > of the other way you feel > > & gt;From: & quot;millasandra & quot; millasandra@y... > & gt;Reply-To: Gastric_Bypass_Family > & gt;To: Gastric_Bypass_Family > & gt;Subject: Re: Anyone ever use Liquid Sorbitol as > a laxative >
Guest guest
I have also had a chronic problem with severe constipation since my surgery 1/22/04. I used the Dieter's tea for awhile and then it stopped working as my . system became used to it. My PCP prescribed 2 Tb of Lactalose but it made me throw up. Now she has me drinking a teaspoon of Colite in 16 oz of liquid 2x a day. It has helped maybe 10%. I really think this why my weight loss has been so slow. maybe a 1 a week. Has anyone out there used Zelnorm? I've been trying to get some information about this drug. It is suppost to help regulate how your body uses water in the bowel. Cathy > Thanks for your suggestion.
