I'm inclined to toss a handul of whatever down, and if I'm not sitting up straight (or better, standing), they don't want to go down sometimes. My solution is plenty of liquid and only a couple of pills at a time. The gel-caps, which generally have less probability of illegals than most tablets, can stick together in a lump if there are too many of them and not enough water. If they do get stuck, try standing up straight, raising your arms above your head, and stretching, like you're trying to touch the ceiling. This can often-times change the positioning so they'll go down... but boy, is it unpleasant when it happens! — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
i think the pills were just the icing on the cake - i am REALLY careful and paranoid with pills (much better swallower than in the past, but not my choice) anyway, I did 1 at a time and other times i've felt that stuck thing but it left after a lil while - this is almost better but i've got on/off nausea - lil burning in the throat etc so maybe i'm just in a rut from my period?? i get a lil off but not usually this way at period time?? i'll give it a few days - thanks for stretching idea for future reference eileen > >took my evening supplements and BAM this > >horrible stuck feeling in my throat happened > >like I would throw up if I opened my mouth - > >have had this here/there with pills before ,but > >this didn't stop - I thought it had but when I > >went to drink water I felt full up to my throat > >like I couldn't fit anymore in -but my belly /intestines were fine > > Eileen, > > How many pills did you take at once?
