I get my dog to lie next to me back to back, she also warms me up!Rach, that's a good point about the dog. Anybody old enough to remember the band 3 Dog Night? Apparently that was a phrase from somewhere (I forget where) describing how cold it is. A 3 dog night was pretty cold! If someone is considering getting a dog to save on heating bills, try a Chihuahua. My granddaughter's Chihuahua mix is like a little space heater! I read that they were once used for that purpose (not space heaters, but to warm their owners). She puts out a lot more heat than my bigger dogs. She likes to get on my lap under a blanket (I always have a blanket over my feet). She'll come up on my chair or bed & just stare at me. If I'm eating, I just say "I'm eating," she looks dejected & goes away. I'm going to post pictures of my dogs on the Photos link, in the Rose's World album, for you animal lovers.
