Guest guest
Barb, First, about 10% of women have lymph nodes in their breasts. This by it self does not mean you have or don't have breast cancer it's just a fact. The Lymph nodes are one way the body fights disease. The Lymph nodes filter a thing called lymphatic fluid to keep things like bacteria and cancer cells from reaching the rest of the body. What they probably did is a biopsy to see if there is any cancer cells in the Lymph node. I'm guessing it will be ok but you have to wait for the pathology report to get back. This normally only takes a few days. We will pray for you. On you other topic, you don't sound like a selfish person at all. In fact you sound like a very giving person. Then why would you even consider taking away a gift that others want to give you. So often we get caught up in doing things for others that we forget that it's selfish not to let them reciprocate if they want to. I am like you. No matter what shape I'm in, I always say i have nothing to complain about because I have so much to be thankful for and others are so worse off then I am. You friends are trying to say they Love you and want to help you through a tough time. Thank them and G-d for providing for you when you most need it. I am not a religious person although i believe I'm a very spiritual person and I believe the universe and G-d will take care of us if we just allow them too. Don't be selfish, let them do for you this time and have a big smile and cry that you have been blessed with such a wonderful group of friends. mitch sorry its been awhile! hello everyone, first i would like to apologize for not writing in awhile so at first i must say happy birthday to all those i have missed. i have been recieving ivig infusions for my small fiber neuropathy , it takes 6 hours to infuse ,so its along day. i also had a breast lump removed which was an ordeal itself, which turned out to be a lymph node. not exactly sure what this means. i have been having great difficulty walking again and poop out very early. my best friends have informed me that they are planning a benefit for me. i am not sure how to accept this. i am honored but feel there are more people far worse then me. well it could also be a pride thing, i am the one who always tries to help others so this is a hard pill to swallow, and surprisingly my husband is on board with my friends. well i hope and pray that everyone is feeling ok. the last few months have not been very easy for me but god willing i will get thru this! praying for us all~~~~barb
Guest guest
Barb, I understand your feelings about letting others do something for you. Just remember that allowing them to do this is a gift to them. And yes, there are people worse off than you, but that doesn't mean that you don't deserve good things. So bask in the knowledge that you have caring friends & family & let them show you their love! Ramblin' RoseModerator A merry heart is good medicine.
