Guest guest
Karianne I’m afraid only you can decide whether you want the test or not. I’ve had to choose to do things or drink things for a particular test or procedure that I know will be painful or cause days of recovery. I usually decide that I want or need to know whether I am dealing with whatever abnormality the test examines, so I just live with the consequences. I follow my intuition on a lot of decisions. I do the research, so I know more about the test or procedure than what my doctors have mentioned, then I determine whether or not I really want the answers the test may or may not give me. Most of the time I decide I want to know, so I just do what is necessary to get ready for the test, get through the test, and get through the recovery. I usually fall back to my safest foods for a week before the test and a week or two after the test. Sometimes I even fall back to clear liquids for a day or two afterwards, since my digestion is generally non-functional after a digestive-related test. Anyway, that’s my process. You’ll have to decide what is best for you. If not using enzymes will increase your upper GI pain, then it might help if you fall back to your safest foods, those that are soft and easiest to digest for you, for the week before the test, and a few days afterwards. But I don’t want to stop enzyme because I get pain. I’m just so confused Karianne
