Guest guest
Fruit has a lot of natural sugars in it and it may cause you to dump so I would be very cautious at this point if I were you. If you are newly post-op (and if I remember correctly I believe you are) you need to be very careful of portions and chewing. You may be having trouble with other food because you may be taking just one bite too many. Try cutting back slightly at mealtime. We need to rewire our thinking. Eating does not need to fill us up. It needs to satisfy and fuel us. After surgery our bodies have the tool to let us know when we are satisfied. It takes time to get used to using it. Guest guest
Amy, I read SOMEWHERE??? that some fruits are too fibrous at this point, early after surgery. Unfortunately, the only fruit that I remember being on the list was mango, because that was the only one I was wanting at the time. I am almost sure I found it in one of the links, but WHERE? (I wasn't very helpful, eh?)
