Guest guest
that depends on your surgeon. he might just put in a splint and require no banding or he many band you. I'm having upper and potentially lower with rigid fixation. I get my hooks on this Tuesday. Surgical hooks are hooks that go onto your braces (see Yann's (ycleroux)photo album to see a close up picture of what the hooks actually look like). The hooks are what the elastic bands will hook onto to keep your jaw closed. How many hooks you have varies from person to person but I'm sure if you ask your ortho or oral surgeon they'll be able to tell if you will need them or not.
