Guest guest
Hi Joanne: I have had a total of 9 teeth pulled which included the 4 wisdom teeth. I just wanted to warn you not to drink from a straw if you are going to enjoy milkshakes that Diane recommended. I ended up getting a dry socket when my tooth #18 was extracted a few years back. It was the worst pain ever. I had to go to the surgeon (the same surgeon doing my jaw surgery) every 2 days and pack/unpack the hole from the extraction with medication. NOT FUN!! So just enjoy that milkshake with a spoon which I am sure your surgeon will warn you. Guest guest
Hi , Just curious; why did you have to have that many teeth pulled? I already knew about the straw. Did you rinse w/ warm salt water too? I remember doing that when I got the wisdom teeth out, but I forget how long after the extractions I can do that. It's an antibacterial thing topically. I'll be taking antibiotics orally for five days. ~Joanne > Hi Joanne: > > I have had a total of 9 teeth pulled which included the 4 wisdom > teeth. Guest guest
Joanne, I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled, 4 teeth pulled before I got braces when I was younger because of overcrowding, and I had a molor pulled 2 years ago because I was still having pain after a root canal. Yes, I do remember rinsing with warm salt water for about a few weeks after many of my extractions. I do not know how I ended up with the dry socket because I didn't drink out of any straw nor do I smoke. The only thing I can guess is that I am a mouth breather so maybe air got in that way. Heck if I know. I did take antibiotics for 10 days after the extractions. > > Hi Joanne: > > > > I have had a total of 9 teeth pulled which included the 4 wisdom > > teeth.
