What is wrong with ensure? I like it! What about putting some stuff she likes

into a blender if she ain't gonna eat ensure? Or how about some of the

recipes from http://www.dinnerthroughastraw.net/ ? Whatever ya do, don't buy

that berry ensure... that one is gross! But vanilla and chocolate are great!

and the butterpecan :o) also check at www.8weekswired.com - they also

have some pretty good recipes. finally...be understanding to what she

may or may not like on a day to day basis. in the beginning - i

couldn't tolerate anything remotely sweet...it somehow bothered my

jaw. the next day all i wanted was chocolate. i thought my fiance

would kill me!

I agree with the others, Chocolate Ensure is very good. I can't deal

with it straight though, so I mix a bottle of Ensure with a cup of

milk...makes it easier to go down. (not as thick) Also, I mentioned

before, the chocolate ensure with breyer's dulce de leche ice cream is

just heavenly! The first few days after surgery, I loved to drink

alot of apple juice, and chicken broth. Also s soup makes a

bean and bacon flavor soup which is very yummy blended.

Hope this helps a little,

I had upper, lower advancement, work on turbinates, and genio on

Thursday. Try the Ensure High Calcium Chocolate it's yummy. I've also

had some chicken broth watered down a little as it was too salty. Also,

Walgreen's has a Boost Breeze that is available in two flavors (it's

juice based and not as thick as the regular Boost & Ensure) tropical

fruit and a berry mix. She might like that better. Anything else that

can be blenderized can be used. I'm not at home yet (at motel near

where I had surgery), but plan of having blenderized split pea soup when

I get home.
