Guest guest Posted June 19, 2005 Report Share Posted June 19, 2005 Hi Kathy! Looks like we are surgery buddies! I'm having surgery on 6/22 too!!!! I'm a little older than you (i'm 46) and I'm having lower and upper jaw advancement. I wish I had been able to have it done at your age and it was far behind me. I'm getting a little nervous too. Went out and got a banana split last night... " comfort food " my guy calls it! I've got to be at the hospital by 530, surgery at 730 (about 4-5 hours) then to recovery and then 2 nights in the hospital. I asked my OS " do you listen to music in the OR? " He said yes, so I asked if I can bring my own. He said YES. So I am busy making compilations of all my favorite music. We are involved in the folk music community here and so have tons of cds from local artists. There are tons of people who should be famous and aren't. I'm also taking my own pillow and an afghan that I crocheted. Already have my dry-erase board and my cd player ready to take. So, Kathy, I will send good thoughts out to you on Wednesday morning.
