Guest guest
Hi everyone I haven't been on for sometime now. I'm still having a hard time of it. My jaw feels great after the replacement of the broken hardware. My problem is my tongue is still numb and painful at about an 8 on the 1-10 scale. I had my splint taken out after 3 weeks and then was wired shut for 3 weeks after second surgery. I have been out of the wires for 2 weeks now and still am only having liquids. I'm so tired of drinking everything the only thing I still really like is chocolate malts.I know where all the best malts are made in the DC area. My tongue hurts so much putting anything on it brings tears to my eye. I am lucky to have 6 DR over seeing my case, the sad thing is not one of them has ever had someone with the whole tongue numb. I will start with a face pain DR next week then I will travel to NYC to see a Nerve DR that deal with face nerves. This is why I haven't been on I'm so frustrated. Happy fathers day if we have any fathers among us. Michele
