Guest guest
Yeah, , you nailed it -- I was being silly (because I like to have fun with things) but postWLS I have become much fussier about food. PreWLS I ate like a shark: prowled the kitchen with an open mouth and swallowed whatever fell into it. Like German Black Forest Cake or Banana Cream Pie: I hate them both but if I was over someone's house and that's all they had, down they would go, and in quantity. Now, every once in a while I will " treat " myself to a bagel (has to be whole wheat too, and it has to have a certain texture of freshness and not be soggy feeling), and if I can't have it with real butter, then I won't eat it. Before, you could top any kind of bagel in any state of freshness (if I could throw it against the wall and it didn't crack the plaster, it got swallowed) with just about anything, and I would eat it. Recently we went to a favorite restaurant of ours and there is a salad that I love that is usually on the menu, but for some reason it wasn't this particular night (grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!), and when the waiter told me that I really wanted to throttle the poor guy! LMAO! So I ordered something else, and while it was good, it wasn't " THE " salad, so I left most of it over as it was just not making my mouth happy. I still wanna say that all this has not been intentional or deliberate with me, like I sat and rationalized things consciously, but I guess deep down I developed some " rules " or really ironclad non-negotiable uncompromising preferences, and for me it's not so much that having preferences is a " new thing " , but that NOW I am adament about enforcing those preferences, whereas before, I didn't. Weird! It's a GOOD thing, for sure! Guest guest
Texture. It seems to be all about texture. You can surround me with chocolate bars and they only need to be dusted. Do NOT put a vanilla cream covered with dark choc down anywhere near me. Texture. Peeps are now safe with me, for a minute, because they are poisonous and will make my clothes explode off my body. But it was the texture that caught me leaning before. Thanks, Vitalady, Inc.
