An interesting note to this -- I spent the weekend visiting friends in Canada (less than 3 hours from my house), and my kids were with me. My hostess asked them if they could tell a difference in the soda (7-Up and Pepsi) from our soda at home, and my son said he thought it tasted " better, " but he couldn't tell why. We looked at the ingredients, and there wasn't a listing for HFCS -- they are still using good old fashioned sugar in their soda on the other side of the border. Not that sugar is necessarily better, but in light of the assertions of the article, that HCFS may well be used differently by the body leading to more obesity, I thought it was interesting. ~~ Lyn

Guest guest
If you get real Coca-Cola during Passover, it will be marked kosher on the box/can, and it is made with sugar instead of HFCS. It tastes so much better that my Coke-drinking friends buy cases and cases of it when it's out... The rumor is that that's the OLD Coke formula, that NEW Coke was all about HFCS.
