Guest guest
Well, I am awaiting my biopsy results - expecting them early this upcoming week. As far as what we were able to do/how far we went - that was a big improvement from 7 years ago. During my 1st two colonoscopies in 2003 the doctors were unable to even get to my transverse colon due to the inflammation and such. This time we made it all the way through my colon/large intestine!!! That said, the dr. showed me the nice looking parts, which was the majority of my colon, including my ileum - HOWEVER, my sigmoid-rectum is quite inflamed and granular. My GI doctor and internist (who also incorporates natural modalities) are going to speak and come up w/ a plan for me. Since I have a fistula, I was not surprised to hear that the rectal/sigmoid area has room for improvement. I was originally diagnosed w/ Colitis, then a different doctor switched it to Crohn's and the next new doc last week stated he feels it appears to be Colitis. I am not so much interested in the label, just feeling WELL!All this said, I'm so grateful for this diet, this group, and the general good health I have - I'm able to work full-time, play tennis and hang out with friends/family. I generally have no blood, formed stools, and only lately a bit of mucus. So, 6 years on SCD and yes, there is more healing to do, but I can only imagine what a bumpy road it would have been w/o SCD.Here's to good, improving health leading up to my destination wedding in November! :)TashaSCD 6/04, LDN 6/09 Thanks, Marilyn!
