Guest guest
you should NOT use McCormick's if you're celiac - they share their lines eileen 2 years 5 months scd > > Hi, > > I would love to add some spice to my foods, but I'm not sure which companies are legal. Since I have celiac disease also, I only use McCormick, Spice Islands and Tones. I have a list of which are Gluten-free, but I didn't know if any are SCD legal. I know that the mixes can be " hairy " , so making our own mix is best. I just love chili powder - anyone have a recipe for that? I love mexican foods! > > Thanks - have a wonderful day! > > Theresa >
Guest guest
McCormick's is not recommended for Celiac's because of cross-contamination. Penzey's is highly recommended. I use Spice Island and 365 Whole Foods brand single spice only types. I think WF is ok because it clumps ;-). If it didn't clump up, the possiblility of anti-caking agent is high. I've never heard of Tone's. Garlic and onion is the hardest to find. I think most people dehydrate those and grind them into spices. There may be a legal brand but I don't know, someone else will have to post. Debbie 41 cd Hi,I would love to add some spice to my foods, but I'm not sure which companies are legal.
