Guest guest
I'm on Remicade, Methotrexate, Plaqunil, that's 3 immune suppressant. I have had a sinus infection, (nothing new, I got them before the Remicade) I've had Bronchitis a couple times. Never been in the hospital for anything at all since taking these drugs, and couldn't even imagine my life without them. Warnings are scary, but whats worse, the way you feel now, I guess you have to weigh the pros and cons, for me it was a no brainier, I don't think I would be walking at all right now without the Remicade, it's still difficult, but at least I'm walking.... I was just so ready for a change, I didn't even think about that what if's. I thought about the what if's if I don't take the drug. I don't know if that helps you at all, but I just wanted to share my feelings, if Remicade stopped working for me, I would say OK what's next and would start it as soon as I could. the more time not on something to slow down the progression of Sarc, valuable time is wasted, as the Sarc continues to destroy vital " things " within us. Your in my prayers. Blessings, Marla If you have more questions ask away, I'm here for you. Sorry to belabor the point. But this has me terrified. i have spent the last quarter of a century getting people out of pain and illness naturally. I'm at the point I would try anything not to keep progressing. But here is the FIRST paragraph when looking up Remacade: WARNINGS SERIOUS INFECTIONS Patients treated with REMICADE® are at increased risk for developing serious infections that may lead to hospitalization or death [see WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS and ADVERSE REACTIONS] Most patients who developed these infections were taking concomitant immunosuppressants such as methotrexate or corticosteroids. I'm on Methotrexate and have been on Prednisone and Testosterone for 3 and a half years. Didn't this bother any one. I have seen hundreds of meds that can cause serious problems and even death (Motrin kills 1 in 20k people that take it regularly for over 2 weeks) but these facts are always hidden in pages of Prescribing info. This has me petrified, thoughts?
