Guest guest
Tova, I'm 6 days post-op and live for the posts that I read from people like yourself - that have made it out the other end and are happy. Thanks SO much for sharing your story! I'm so pleased for you! Carol > Hey Folks! > > It's been a while since I've written but i just wanted to check in. Guest guest
My pleasure!! In the midst of my healing I was a wreck and it sucked but it really does pass and everything on the other side really does look brighter... I can honestly say, the process was one of the hardest things I've ever done... but unlike just about every other hard thing we go through, when this is passed, it's done... a distant memory..... Feel better soon! Guest guest
Tova, I'm right at the beginning of that being a wreck stage where it really sucks. Thanks so much for your encouraging words! Looking forward to the memory, Carol > > > Hey Folks! > > > > > > It's been a while since I've written but i just wanted to check in. > > Jane- I'm jealous... you're > > > already getting your braces off and you had surgery a month after > > me... Guest guest
Hi Tova, Glad to see you're doing well. It's amazing how fast you forget all the crap that you went through just very recently. I'm also recovering pretty well - I'm eating pretty much everything as well, but some harder stuff is still a little challenging, and I'm working on my opening as well (it's almost back to normal, definitely big enough for sushi!). Numbness is improving, but very very slowly. But overall, I'm not complaining. I have a checkup with the surgeon tomorrow, we'll see what he says. My swelling from the upper jaw surgery went down a lot in the last several weeks, so I'm very excited about that (usually it stays longer than swelling from lower surgery). I've also put all but 2 pounds of the weight that I lost - one side effect of being able to chew ;-). Take care, Irene. > Hey Folks! > > It's been a while since I've written but i just wanted to check in.
