If it is an ulcer, it would hurt there and also explain the anemia. Guest guest
Sounds like a reflux or ulcer in the making. Do you still have your gall bladder? I had that kind of pain before mine was taken out. Stomach Pain Need Advise Hi Guys just curious every time I eat or drink anything in the past week I get a pain that starts right below the breast bone and radiates to my back. I only get this pain when I eat or drink anything. it has caused me to become faint almost to the point of passing out. Any ideas as to what this is. I am planning on seeing my PCP tomorrow. My last lab work said I was Anemic but that wouldn't give me the pain I am having? I was contemplating visiting the ER today but I have a $50 copay and I really believe I have gone this long one more day won't matter. If anyone has had anything similar would love to hear from you. Guest guest
So sorry to hear you are in pain. Do you have your gall bladder? If you do, I'd have them check that. I know hospitals will work with you on the $50.00 copay so if you need to go, go! Guest guest
Hi.......... I also have this pain, i know what your talking about. I think i may know what my problem is, not 100% sure but possibly. Do you happen to take any pain meds for anything? I am on acouple for my back and when i happen to mix the two meds, one for spazems and one for the pain in my back i get this pain in my stomach and it radiates around to my back. I went in to the doctor with this before i figured out what it could be and they did an upper G.I. and did some lab work and the Upper G.I. i was told was fine but my Liver Enzymes were high like 10Xs what they were supposed to be. So i started taking Milk Thistle and that problem went away. Enzymes back to normal. I had one bad stomach pain acouple of days ago when i was out in my garden and i had to lay down on the grass and roll around and moan and groan for awhile. I had happen to take these two meds about 1//2-1 hour before that, i haven't done it since and i've had no pains. Hope you start feeling better.... Guest guest
I don't take any prescription stuff, except iron, and I''ve had that pain, too. The pain always went away in about 1/2 an hour until a few weeks ago. It was curl-up-on-the-bed-moaning-and-groaning awful and lasted 3 hours. It was in the center of my diaphram and at the lower back. I had a gallbladder ultrasound last year when they started, and nothing. I had also started getting heartburn again several months ago (no reflus). So, I ran all of our usualy problems past my PCP...ulcer, stone stuck in a duct, kink in the intestines, etc., and he said the type of pain and location led him to believe it was a gastritis attack. He prescribed Prilosec (1 month supply) and Bentyl(2 weeks). No more pain, so far and no heartburn, but my last Prilosec is tomorrow, and I'm wondering if I should be on it longer. But, so far, so good, what a relief. I hope everyone feels better! in NJ ************************* > I had one bad stomach pain acouple of days ago when i was out in my > garden and i had to lay down on the grass and roll around and moan and groan for awhile. Guest guest
Ronit, that sounds like how I was about a month ago. It was like as soon as anything hit the pounch I was in pain. Even water felt like an atomic explosion. I do have ulcers. I had a CT scan and an Upper GI. The Dr. put me on Nexium (I had been on Priolosec right along), and within four days I was feeling sooooo much better. I hope you get some relief soon, as it can wear you down fast.
