Guest guest
Sara, I know what you mean by that fever driving you crazy..For the past 3 weeks after surgery I was having constant chills and then hot the next minute. I just couldn't get comfortable. My temperature kept going up and down like crazy from 99.5 to over 100. I am glad that the surgeon at the hospital will talk to your OS. I am sure they will talk things out and get things on a roll for you because we can't keep having this!! I wonder if that is what they did with my lip because I had a long stitch hanging down from under my lip a few days after surgery and also have a nice red spot on my gum area. I surely don't know, but my lip sure is still quite swollen and looks like it is split underneath in half, and my nose is craziness right now because it really is so sore. Then to top it off my nose is beet red and looks like I have a major sunburn. Anyway, at least your fever has subsided and hopefully you can get some rest before Wednesday. I will be keeping you in my thoughts all week! --Caboose > Hi , > > The fever was driving me mad one minute I was cold the next I was hot but thankfully it has eased now. I was the surgeon that was on call (he was one of the 29 people that " observed " my surgery) he said that he will talk to my maxillofacial surgeon later on today or first thing tomorrow morning and give him an update. And he will let me know what he has to say. He said that he was wondering how I was doing as he hadn't seen me for a few weeks (the on call dr), but he was aware of my " problems " . > > I'm worried that there is something wrong with my nose, as I also ahd surgery on my nose to lengthen it etc But hopefully it turns out to be nothing, just another thing for me to worry about! My lip was stiched to my gum after surgery to help heal. I'm glad that they didn't/couldn't do the lip revision becuase that would have been even worse. They were going to take a section of my upper lip off because it's too long and when I smile my teeth don't show. But they were unable to do this as I was loosing too much blood in surgery and I became unstable plus the fact that I had been in surgery for 14 hours! > > I sure would like to know what's up with us LOL I have been on several different antibiotics that changing wasn't an option as i'm on the strongest one's possible with out IV lines. And after having nine of thoose after surgery I sure don't want another one. > > > > > __________________________________________________ >
