Guest guest
Hello everyone - I went to Costco yesterday to get some info and prices on supplies for post-surgery. They have a six-pound container of Pro- Rated brand Protein Shake (whey protein), Bavarian chocolate or Vanilla, for $19.99. Each container provides 90.7 one-scoop servings; each serving contains 22 grams protein,4 grams net carbs, and 120 calories. You add one scoop to 5 to 7 oz. of liquid then blend or shake. It's sweetened with splenda and provides no fiber. There was a website on the package for recipes: www.proteinusa.net .//They have Ocean Nasal Spray, a package of 3-1.5 oz bottles, for $3.69.//Ensure: Vanilla, 24-8 oz bottles, $27.99./ Ensure Plus: Vanilla, 24-8 oz bottles, $32.49. [TO Shirley:Ensure is Lactose-free].// ThermaCare Heat Wraps: neck/arm size, 2 boxes w/3 each, $10.99.// They also had a wide variety of fruit drinks too.///At WalMart, they had a WaterPik Oral Irrigator, cordless, for $28.48. ----- Hope this info helps those of you who need to stock up on supplies - way too early for me though.~~~~Diane
Guest guest
Thanks for the research, Diane. Good to know about the ThermaCare, those are way cheaper than I've seen elsewhere. I've also been thinking about getting one of those handheld blender thingies at Costco. Oh, and in the past I've gotten instant mashed potatoes at Costco -- very easy to make. I'm wondering -- shouldn't we avoid artificially sweetened protein powders, because don't we need the calories? Just curious. Luna
Guest guest
Luna - I think the artificially sweetened protein powders would be okay, because I'd be putting other ingredients into it, like ice cream for example.(I LUV ice cream). Just a thought. ~~~ Diane > Thanks for the research, Diane. Good to know about the ThermaCare, > those are way cheaper than I've seen elsewhere.
