Caboose,

I can't believe it's almost the end of June! Wow, how time flies.

My

surgery was June 1st, so I started the June train and consequently

have a fondness in my heart for the end of it! Haha. I know how

much

nerves kick in those days before surgery, but keep busy and time

will

go fast. I'm sure you have a lot to do. Meanwhile, we'll all be

here, wishing you the best and saving a spot for you!! EAT WELL

this

weekend!

~

Hi June buddies!

Time does fly by. Thursday I was sitting in another doctor's office

and suddenly realized my surgery was only 6 days away. I was

thinking it was a lot longer. Now it's only 4 more days and 3 for

caboose !

I will be busy until literally almost to the minute of surgery. I am

working the night shift tonight and Sunday getting home around 9

a.m. Monday. Then we're taking the kids to Alabama and driving back

the same day. Tuesday we have an early morning meeting at work. I go

from there to my surgeon's office for my pre-op history and physical

and then back to work. I'll get home from work around 3 a.m. in time

for a short nap and shower. Then I have to be at the hospital at

5:30 a.m. for the surgery. I keep telling myself finally I can get

some sleep Wednesday even if it's artificially induced. I'm almost

looking forward to the surgery so I can rest for a few days. Whew!

I spoke to my surgeon two days ago and everything is still a go for

the surgery. The insurance issues have been straightened out more or

less so I am definitely still on this train. All aboard! The final

station is in sight!

Goodness , careful not to overdo it and exhaust yourself too

much pre-surgery, even though I know there's not much you can do

about it. By now you must be a pro at this surgery business. Here's

to hoping that it's the last one for at least a while after this

June 29th!! Good luck with all!!

Thanks Sara!

I was happy to read about your splint coming off in time for your

trip to Italy. What a relief that must be. I'm so jealous. Are you

moving back there for good this time or is it just a visit? I took a

tour through Italy with my high school class and fell in love with

the country. It's beautiful and I look forward to going back someday

with my girls. Have a great trip!

,

Well I still need to see whether the splint will actually STAY OFF for

my trip to Italy. My OS made me promise that if my jaw didn't look

right a couple of days after he takes it off then I will allow him to

put the splint back on. Here's to hoping my jaw does just fine.

Yes, I am moving back to Italy permanently. I've been away from home

since I was 18 and now 9 years later I'm really starting to miss

feeling settled, and of course the fiance' is getting impatient. Let me

know when you and your girls do make it to Italy!

I'll be thinking of you all this week:-)
