Guest guest
Hi Jenn, You've done a fantastic job on your weight loss. Maybe that person was just encouraging her/him self in that what they have lost isn't anything to sneeze at. I know I have to do that to myself all the time. I'm 4-1/2 months out and only lost 58 since surgery. But darn it that's 58 lbs lost forever and i'm darn proud of it too, just as you are in losing 100 lbs. We all lose at different paces and that doesn't make any of us wrong or not doing things right. I'M PROUD OF ALL OF OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS!!!!! Just my opinions. Take care all and God bless! Guest guest
Hi Jenn, I'm sure whoever said that didn't mean for it to come across like that. I can see where you would think its a negative comment towards you but I'm sure it wasn't intended like that. Besides how would anyone know if your skin is " saggy " or not? So like Bridget said in that email this morning be proud of your weightloss and your accomplishment! Your worth it! Have you tried fitday.com for keeping track of your weight? Its got a great exercise counter on there too. > Hello Family, > I was wondering if anyone could clear something up for me. Guest guest
Jenn, It is a place for problems and accomplishments. And I think that you have accomplished a lot. It was not taken as gloating. And in my opinion after years of struggling to get some weight off if you want to gloat or brag or whatever you call if for loosing a 100 pounds then by all means go ahead, because you better believe that I will. I think you deserve the right to brag. I read the same post, and don't remember who wrote it, but I did not take it as them putting your accomplishment down. That is how they look at their weight loss which doesn't have any bearing on you. You are right, we are all different and we are not going to loose at the same rate. Some of us might loose 100 pounds in a year with skin hanging and others might loose 200 pounds in a year and have no skin hanging. In that count each person is different too. We don't know what we are going to get until we get into this weight loss. And I think that from years of not being able to brag about our weight we are more sensitive than someone else might be. You have to be proud of what you have done. You never know if you might catch someone in a bad mood and they respond in a way that they might not have otherwise. Or they could be in a perfectly good mood and just come across to someone else in a way that they did not intend. So many times written words just don't carry the true intention like a spoken word does. If you feel that someone was putting you down or lessening your accomplishments, I am sorry, but I am sure that is not what was intended. Be proud of yourself and don't worry about what anyone else has to say about it. We are all very proud of you. Guest guest
I do recall the post Jenn and I, along with MANY others praised you on your accomplishment (and what an accomplishment it is )! Don¹t worry about what one person says, or more importantly, what they say in email-form, because it will never come across correctly. I¹m sure there was nothing meant by it, no one on this board intends on being critical of others. Fast or slow we¹re all losers! You didn¹t reply to my question though, that I would love to know your secret . Everyone¹s different though, previous diets, environment, habits, lifestyles, everything comes into play and therefore comparing really can¹t be a part of this, but I have to say, you¹re doing one heluva job ! -- Sagel Burns Lap RNY April 9, 2004 (-83 lbs.) 348/265/140 (begin/current/goal) carrie@... - www.carrieburns.net > Hello Family, > I was wondering if anyone could clear something up for me. Guest guest
Jenn that coment was kinda rude. I don't know you too well but I'm proud and I can just hope and pray that after my surgery I lose weight like that. I for 1 think 100lbs in 3 months is fantastic and a dream come true. (I'm not saying this is how it is or it's how this person feels) BUT mabey just mabey they are jelous and thats why they made that type of comment. I for 1 am very happy for you and anyone that loses the weght. I haven't had my surgery yet but I can't wait cause I'm soooooo unfomforable. they are telling me between december and febuary and I have my physc eval this coming monday. I'm kinda nervous so wish me luck and pray for me k Love Debbie
