I know that I've mentioned it on the list several times - perhaps not recently though. I read a medical study about it years ago and discussed it with my doctor, who told me in reply that smoking (regular cigs.) also helps. Then - as it turned out we went to high school together, though didn't know each other (big NYC school) - we joked around about the corner of the yard that always had a cloud of dope smoke rising over it during lunch periods. Guest guest
It's actually the nicotine in the cigs...going on the patch would do the same thing....but why bother getting addicted to another substance? Guest guest
well cigarettes can cause many diseases and are not a natural herb.....not the same at all...I had heard that myself though...in fact smoking Cannabis(and I am not really talking about smoking with regard to this video and message) apparently does not cause lung cancer and if you did smoke a mix of tobacco and cannabis you would be less likely to get any disease..and its not addictive.. we are really talking about the THC content of the plant here... this is all news to many people including myself but not news to many big companies who have known about this since the 70's.... how many people have needlessy died since that time???? take care > > > LOL. As it happens, tobacco IS a natural herb -- just as natural as the cannabis. It's what's done in the processing, and the adding of compounds to make it burn steadily that makes it unnatural. But you know, the cannabis can't be patented. So of course the people who want to make money off drugs aren't going to be in favor of it. Diet can't be patented, ditto. Naltrexone is out of patent. There are plenty of people who are suffering and dying because of a system which insists that medical research must also yield a profit. Preferably a BIG profit. Food won't get you arrested. (Well, unless you're after raw milk...) Neither will LDN. At present, however, possession of cannabis CAN get you arrested, so I'd prefer that this discussion wind down. Oh, and the THC content has been known for rather longer than since the 70s. Like, since about 3000 BC. And people have been stomping on it for rather longer than that. Guest guest
Of course tobacco is natural herb, if you read my post correctly I said cigarettes are not a natural herb..and of course the chinese and others have been using it for years, I am not the one needing the education....I've read many of your posts and realise you are very helpful to people but I am not here for a contest of who knows more than the other, just to get some info out to as many people as I can to stop the pain and suffering which I know you and many others like you have been through as for the discussion winding down...thats what keeps this natural healing herb illegal....the more people who are educated about it the more likley the laws will be changed and the healthier the world will be... I think people can make up their own mind if they want to try this or not.... if my Crohns came back as bad as when I first had it I for one would be giving this a try..legal or not legal.. I don;t think anyone should me made to suffer because of stupid outdated laws... so I would urge you to let go of the fear and pass this video on to as many people as you can... change will come as it did with this diet... just think how powerful this diet and THC could be... thank you and goodnight > >well cigarettes can cause many diseases and are > >not a natural herb.....not the same at all...I > >had heard that myself though...in fact smoking > >Cannabis(and I am not really talking about > >smoking with regard to this video and message) > >apparently does not cause lung cancer and if you > >did smoke a mix of tobacco and cannabis you > >would be less likely to get any disease..and its not addictive.. > > > >we are really talking about the THC content of > >the plant here... this is all news to many > >people including myself but not news to many big > >companies who have known about this since the > >70's.... how many people have needlessy died since that time???? > > As it happens, tobacco IS a natural herb -- just > as natural as the cannabis. Guest guest
WOW .. Marilyn so does not deserve this reply! This is an SCD group. I am so beyond pro Jane... It's been approved legal in CA for Crohn's.. I do not perceive Marilyn as being close minded or misguided about this subject at all. Her reply was concise and to the point.. Nothing disparaging at all! Anyway, This is Off Topic like so many other things and it is easy to dilute this group.. That is not to say there isn't a ton of useful info out there on a whole myriad of subjects..but if we go down that road the SCD message gets diluted. Marilyn owns the most open minded welcoming SCD group. She also does not tolerate any kind of personal attacks whatsoever... She gives us plenty of room to discuss Off Topic subjects.. I dig it. Guest guest
, If you had any idea how much personal time and energy Marilyn spends helping others on this board, you would be more polite and understanding that this is an SCD board, dedicated to helping people on SCD. It is not an open board to discuss other issues although some leeway is given for helpful topics. As a moderator, Marilyn has the right to control the topics, and insist on using legal treatments. Please treat her, and others here with respect. I fail to see how I insulted anyone or was impolite and I have always treated people on these forums with respect and do not need anyone to tell me that, with all respect, thanks anyway... you are again presuming I don't know how much time and energy Marilyn puts into this...I do... so its the presumptions that I am correcting here...which is fair enough I would have thought... I have the every respect for ilyn and at times through this forum she has helped me, and I have helped others as I am sure you all have.. Smoking Cannabis is not what I am talking about here... please watch the video....it really is well worth it.... This forum has helped me as have other forums and without the diet I would be in a sorry state.... I have actually stated, perhaps even on this forum about off topic subjects and the confusion it can cause.. I just felt that this needs to be highlighted particularly for the people who need it most...the sick...and surely this would be given leeway... unfortunately we do not all live in California ..., I did spend a lot of time in SF and loved it, but again its not about smoking Cannabis..please watch the video... perhaps the cultural differnces in how we speak come into play here, perhaps my passion for good health comes across too strong for some..but I make no apology for that after living with Crohns and having a mother with cancer....when there has been a natural cure there all the time... and if some people get a little bent out of shape but the message gets through to people who need it, well I'll take that anyday...and make apologies if need be later... the video really says it all,so don't let an outspoken Irishman stop you watchin it...lol goodnight and good health to you all Crohns 3 yrs SCD 2yrs 9 months
