Guest guest
I would leave the band off, it won't hurt to be on the safe side. -christine sydney, 3.5 yrs, starband grad > > My daughter has had her band 5 days & wasn't showing any concerning redness in the first 2 days so we've been doing the 23 hour schedule. Tonight, when we took it off, we noticed two spots on her forehead (which are normally a bit red/pink when we first remove the band but always go down to normal skin tone within an hour)are really ashy & flaking off lots of skin. Is this okay? I'm scared to put it back on her tonight. I wish there was a 24/7 Cranial Tech hotline or something for when things like this come up! Guest guest
Our daughter had a similar issue every few days or so. Our orthosist suggested putting hydrocortisone cream on the ashy/red areas. This worked great, cleared it right up. Check with your doc before using, though, if your little one is less than 3 months. , mom to Lena, 7 months Hanger band (7 weeks), Sacramento > > My daughter has had her band 5 days & wasn't showing any concerning redness in the first 2 days so we've been doing the 23 hour schedule.
