Have you tried aerobics of any sort? I know that it sounds silly, but I

absolutely love the sweatin to the oldies tapes because it's kind of like

dancing

and I love to dance. I also really like The firm workout tapes. They are

really good for toning. But otherwise, I do the treadmill and weight training.

I'll admit I hate walking for the exact same reason your

stated below. I will do kickboxing, swimming, strength training, you

name it, I don't like walking with no purpose. Have you tried doing

exercises other than walking? What about swimming? Bike riding?

I've tried arobics, and, Tae bo. Swimming on occasion But I really dont lik=

e swimming

without a purpose either its kinda like just sitting there is the the water=

, so whenever

I do swim i do water arobics for my legs and stomach. I try the bike riding=

at the gym

but I also get the same feeling of going nowhere but I wonder if I did buy =

a bike if

that would feel different. The only thing that really works for me is danci=

ng and

correagraphing dances but i think mainly because i enjoy that. I dont know.=

I mean I

do exercise but in my mentality its because I have to or this surgery's a w=

aste. But I

just want to enjoy it so I dont always feel like i HAVE to but that I WANT =

to.

How about headphones and listen to a book as you walk.

I got a pretty little dog to make me walk every day and then got

spinal stenosis and can't walk, poor Chevy just loves walk so I hope

after my surgery on Wednesday at 8:30 I will be able to walk.
