thanx,....the elastics start at my eye teeth and are criss crossed

all

the way back, on both sides...... cant really tell how many there

are.?

there is no question you feel a little confined , you need to be

healthy and have no problem breathing through your nose or else I am

sure it could get real panicy ,You have to just take it real easy and

not get to excited, I found bedtime was when I got clastraphobic

cause

I would lay there and start thinkin about it, more so on my first

surgery, I learned a few things for the 2nd go round,.... A friend of

mine had his jaw wired shut about 30 years ago, and he warned me " just

make sure you don't puke " I guess he went out drinking and got sick,

He said he thought he was going to sufficate and die, said it comes

out every where including your eyes, ears, and nose....(sorry to paint

that picture for you )!.....when you leave the hospital they will

give you a little pair of sissors just in case that might happen ...

Have a good one

Hello

I haven't posted anything in about 3 years. I hope this works. I had

my surgery Thurs. June 2nd (upper and lower) Was to be banded but

woke up and I was wired. Not Happy!!! Appointment is tomorrow. Wish

me luck. Not in any pain but the swelling is really getting me down.

Last night I was miserable, today a little better. Please pray for

me.

Jen,

Welcome back and welcome to the other side. :) I'm about 4 1/2 weeks

post-op (upper/lower). I'm wired and splinted ... I know it's no

fun. But, it tends to get better/easier each day.

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you - of course - as you work

through your recovery.

Hang in there and write when you can/need to!
