Guest guest
I only lost about 4 pounds when I had a combination of belt lipectomy, inner/outer thigh lift and breast lift. I thought I would lose more than that but I guess skin does not weigh as much as I thought! However, I did go down one size when all that extra skin was removed. I especially noticed the difference in how pants fit. Before plastic surgery I had to buy a larger size in pants to get the waist and stomach to fit which meant the legs were too baggy. In general, I am one size smaller than I was before surgery. It took me longer to recover than I had expected. I went back to work after 3 weeks but it was too soon for me as I don't handle pain well and I was very tired. I am very happy with the belt lipectomy results but the inner/outer thigh lift results are disappointing. I still have a lot of loose skin on my legs….much more so than I expected to have. My surgeon told me it takes about 3 months for you to see the final results. I have noticed some changes in this last month (I'm 3 months out from the plastic surgery) but nothing dramatic. I'm not a man so I can't answer your other questions but it sounds like you are doing everything right. It is certainly possible that would lose significantly more than I did with plastic surgery. in Washington Lap RNY Sept 2001 Minus 205 pounds 333.5/128 http://www.wworw.com The questions I have are: > > 1) How much weight did you lose from your belt lipectomy? > 2) What was the recovery time? Guest guest
I didn't have a belt L but I did have a TT 3 weeks ago and the PS removed 8 pounds of skin which at this point has translated into a 6 pound loss overall. I'm still somewhat swollen so I expect to lose a little bit more but suspect when I can get back to exercising in a few m ore weeks I may lose more considering the jump start the body will get after 6 weeks of bed rest! I hot my plateau at abut 9 months out. And I have about 25 more pounds I want to lose! I don't know what my pant size is yet but I do know I have gone down at least 2 inches. I have a flat stomach now and I am getting tons of compliments! Guest guest
, My surgeon took off 7 pounds between my extensive abdominoplasty and my brachioplasty last July. It took almost 10 months for the full contours to be evident, but " too loose " at three months out is unlikely to get much tighter, unfortunately. My PS offers free revisions for the first year; all you pay for is the OR time & anesthesia. Might be worth investigating if your thighs are really still bothering you. I was going to have my thighs done, but waffled for a long time and in the end, did not have them done. I'm really glad too because here at very nearly two years post-op, they've recovered a lot on their own... Still not perfect, but pretty typical for a 36 year old that's had two babies. :-) Z Bellevue, WA 310.126.148 (goal was 160) http://www.ziobro.us/index.html Re: Weight lost from belt lipectomy. Guest guest
I didn't know that!!! I had Dr. Egrari too....I don't remember him saying he would do free revisions within a year. Although....I am not sure I could stand to go through the pain a second time. I should try toning exercises first, lol. > , > > My surgeon took off 7 pounds between my extensive abdominoplasty and my > brachioplasty last July.
