Hey -

I looked for the Centrum at the drugstore yesterday. $8.00 for 15 doses!

Yikes! And it takes bad too? boy.

Thanks for the suggestions for Ensure and Slim Fast- I've been starting to think

about my diet post-op. I have some additional things to take in to account. I

had a gastric-bypass 2 years ago, so I have to be careful about sugars (both

added and natural). Whole milk is out of the question for me. I'll be going the

soy milk path probably. I just have to figure out my plan of attack for my diet.

Actually - I need to get a blender!

Centrum makes a liquid multi-vitamin, but it tastes HORRIBLE! I

tried it before my surgery when I was preparing myself. It almost

made me vomit it tasted so bad, so I refuse to take it now that I am

wired shut. I even mixed it with lemon juice, and it was still

disgusting.

I have been drinking Ensure Plus becuase it has a lot of vitamins in

it. I have also been drinking Slim Fast smoothies, and they have as

many vitamins in them as the Ensure Plus have, just less calories

(which is not really a concern right now). I just needed a little

variety. You should ask your doctor if the vitamins that are in

these products are enough to substitute a daily multi-vitamin. Bring

one of the nurition labels in to him/her and see.
