Guest guest
Digest Number 2677I have PCOS, too, and I'm still trying to bring my PCP up to speed on treatment for me (along with monitoring my WLS stuff) . He did just start me on Metformin (generic Glucophage), and I've found that it *does* help me with my cravings. Getting the insulin under control does seem to help with the phantom cravings. And the battle goes on.... =) pandy who appreciates all the talk of comfort foods, cuz it's caused her to lose her appetite (the last straw was p/b on BLT...BLECH!!!! and I thought Mom was bad with her celery.....ugh ugh ugh!! LoL) =))))) >>>>>Another problem some of us " morbidly obese " experience is we might have had PolySysticOvaries which affects insulin. The treatment for this condition is medicine which regulates insulin. Again, I have never been diagnosed with this condition but my Endo thinks I have all the symptoms with the exception of my blood pressure has always been very low. Hoping this info might help some of you, M.
