Guest guest
, You are frankly scaring me! Are you inside my head? This is how I have been feeling lately. Maybe it is just a phase? I'm 2 yrs out as well. Last few days..I've had nothing but protein shakes and some veggies and a bite of real food (force fed) trying to get the calories in because I don't want to starve myself for sure. Texture is a real big thing to me. I just don't look forward to feeling a " thud " some days so I turn to a shake. Maybe it could be the psychological feeling of how terrible some of us are at holidays and you are protecting against that? I have thought about that for me. From what I've seen on this list though, I've noticed ppl's taste changing in phases. So I accept it as that for now. As for relying on protein shakes, I wouldn't think something like that would hurt you short term anyway (if this is just a phase). Maybe the more knowledgeable ppl will be able to speak for long term effects of relying on them. I pretty much suscribe to....do you feel good? energetic? you doing the right vites, protein, and water and stuff? Then it prolly can't be hurting us too bad. Our bodies are such great barometers and have a great feedback mechanism when they are not happy for the most part...it's just unfortunate that some of it still is a mystery..to me anyway..yet so fascinating to what is out there that is known. My mother had this operation and she would look at me funny if I mentioned this stuff. She has no issues with her diet and doesn't feel the uncomfortableness (is that even a word?) that I do at times with texture. I can recall wayyy back when I was a teen watching every pound and I went to see my aunt one holiday and I gained 10 lbs in one week..she loved to cook and I loved to eat. I was so distraught that the next year I came up with an excuse not to go cause I was so scared to gain...I loved her to death.....so you know I had to be just flat scared of weight gain and goodies at her house that I'd lose control. So if you are weird, I'm wierd right with you hehe. Sherra problems with meat, etc > My tastes are changing yet again. I really thought I would know by after two years out what my body tolerates and handles well. Guest guest
Most of this week, I didn't want food. Had to wrack my brain to get enough in to take my vites. TODAY, I could eat non-stop, if I could. And I'm not a grazer. Weird. Thanks, Vitalady, Inc. Guest guest
I certainly depend on shakes for my protein. I don't absorb enough to count, even if it DID count. And then, I don't like much of it in the first place, AND I'm kinda iffy on what I DO like. I could do all veggies if I didn't feel kinda guilty about it. Thanks, Vitalady, Inc.
