Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am 31 days post op (lefort I (advancement) and mandibular setback) am past the pain, swelling is going down, getting back to work slowly (surgical RN). When I look in the mirror, my bite is noticably uneven. If I bite on a tongue depressor, or anything flat, one side is about 5 mm higher than the other. The doctor said that I am the only one who will notice and that it was the only way the procedure was possible. Emphasizing that this is a functional surgery, not a cosmetic one. I am very self conscious of it right now and am wondering how common this is. I will appreciate any comments of similar results. To return the favor I am available to answer questions about Operating Room practices and surgical procedures. rp ps. pics to follow
