Guest guest
Hi , Glad to hear all went well for you! That is interesting about the splint because I thought it would also fit like a retainer. How lucky you were at the hospital..Maybe I will be as lucky on the 20th...(haha) Wow, 6 more days for you! It's almost here! Enjoy your remaining days and I will talk to you before your surgery. > I said I would post about my day of appointments pre-surgery today > so here it goes. It was very uneventful though so not much to say! > My surgeon called this morning and said he needed me to come in at > 11 instead of 1:30. So I went to the surgeons office and the nurse > took my pulse, temperature, height/weight, and blood pressure. I had > to sign all the hospital consent forms. The surgeon also put the > splint in my mouth to make sure it was fitted properly. It wasnt as > bad as I thought, I thought it went across the roof of your mouth > like a regular retainer, not just between your teeth. He also > showed me my " after surgery " mold he made. My bite lined up > perfectly!!! I can't wait! He answered some of my questions and gave > me even more zip and squeeze bags! They were way behind schedule. After waiting 30- > 40 minutes they called me back and told me that they didnt need me > to stay! They said that all they needed was a blood test which they > could take the morning of surgery. They are going to call me > tomorrow or the next day to go through a list of questions with me. > So instead of waiting like another hour to be seen, they sent me on > my way! So now I just have to answer some questions for them over > the phone and I am set for Tuesday's surgery. I bought a squish > pillow today and a chair-like raft for in the pool so I can sit > upright and soak in some sun post-op!
